Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Your Second Season Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season presents a diverse group of personalities living within the afterlife, pits them against each other accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people create a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
